Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role.
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with TypeScript or Java.
• Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity and collaborate across organizations.
• Strong communication skills for discovery and explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in enterprise verticals or enterprise IT systems is a plus.

FDEs pair deep engineering execution with customer‑facing responsibilities to deliver safe, reliable AI solutions.

• Build production applications within customer systems using Claude models.
• Deliver technical artifacts for production workflows (e.g., MCP servers, sub-agents, agent skills).

Requirements

• Strong programming skills with proficiency in Python and ideally experience with one or more additional languages (e.g., TypeScript, Java).
• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, work under ambiguity, and collaborate across organizations.
• Strong communication skills for discovery and explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in enterprise verticals (financial services, healthcare/life sciences) or enterprise IT systems is a plus.

Logistics

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training.
• Location policy: staff are expected to be in one of Anthropic’s offices at least ~25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
• Visa sponsorship is available in some cases.
