Job summary

Midland Care Home, part of the Hampton Healthcare portfolio, is recruiting an Activities Coordinator in Wellingborough. This 30-hour role runs 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, every other weekend, with mentorship and training support to help you succeed in delivering diverse, engaging activities for residents.

You will develop and run group and individual activities, maintain records, and lead a small team to encourage participation while upholding dignity, privacy and choice for residents.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events / activities for Clients in all Client categories.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Friendly, creative and confident.
• Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS Check.

Responsibilities

• Develop ongoing weekly activities which stimulate and provide a happy environment and considers individual needs.
• Record keeping (some computer based).
• Carrying out group and one to one activities.

We are currently recruiting for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual who can provide a wide range of activities to interest and stimulate the physical and mental state of our residents, understanding the need of promoting the philosophy of privacy and dignity, independence and choices, rights respect and fulfilment for all residents. Good personal and interpersonal skills are essential.

The right candidate will be offered support through mentorship and training program to ensure they have all the right tools to succeed in their role.

30 hours per week , 10.00 am to 4.30 pm , every other weekend
