Job summary

Lift Kingswood in Kingswood is seeking an English Teacher to plan engaging lessons, track progress and provide constructive feedback. You’ll work with colleagues, parents and pastoral staff to support every learner, including those with SEND and EAL.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or training to achieve QTS by September 2026 or hold a degree in English and join our in-house Instructor training route to secure QTS within two years.
• Our role requires genuine passion for teaching and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to high-quality teaching and learner-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding
• Adapt teaching to meet needs of all learners including SEND, EAL
• Use assessment and feedback to help students reflect on progress and close gaps
• Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high expectations
• Work with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create the best outcomes for every student
