Job summary

Lift Kingswood is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join our team and build on our strong academic provision. You will plan engaging lessons, track progress and provide constructive feedback, working with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to meet every pupil's needs.

We welcome applicants with QTS or those training to achieve QTS by September 2026, or with a science degree who wish to train through our in-house route.

Qualifications

• Have QTS, or are currently training and due to achieve QTS by September 2026 or hold a degree in a science based subject and would like to transition into teaching through our in-house Instructor training route, leading to securing qualified teacher status within two years.
• Have a genuine passion for teaching Science and a love for the subject
• Have a desire to make a difference to young people's lives
• Are committed to great relationships and high-quality teaching
• Want to work in a school where hard work is supported and valued

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding
• Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, high ability, and EAL
• Use assessment and feedback to help students reflect on their progress and close any gaps
• Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
• Work with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create the best outcomes for every student
