Job summary

Lift Kingswood is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join our team. You’ll plan engaging lessons, track student progress, and provide helpful feedback, working with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to support every student.

If you have QTS or are training to achieve it by September 2026, or hold an English degree and want to transition through our in-house Instructor route, you could become a qualified teacher with us within two years.

Qualifications

• QTS or training and due to achieve QTS by September 2026 or hold a degree in English and would like to transition into teaching through our in-house Instructor training route, leading to securing qualified teacher status within two years.
• Genuine passion for teaching PE and a love for the subject.
• Desire to make a difference to young people's lives.
• Committed to great relationships and high-quality teaching.
• Want to work in a school where hard work is supported and valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding
• Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, high ability, and EAL
• Use assessment and feedback to help students reflect on their progress and close any gaps
• Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
• Work with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create the best outcomes for every student
