Job summary

Lift Kingswood are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join our team at Kingswood Academy. You’ll plan engaging lessons, track student progress and provide helpful feedback, helping every pupil achieve excellent outcomes.

You’ll work with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to support all learners and raise attainment. The role requires QTS or current training with a view to achieving QTS by September 2026, or a degree in English with our in-house Instructor training route.

Qualifications

• QTS or currently training to achieve QTS by September 2026, or hold a degree in English and would like to transition into teaching through our in-house Instructor training route, leading to securing qualified teacher status within two years.
• Have a genuine passion for teaching PE and a love for the subject.
• Have a desire to make a difference to young people's lives.
• Are committed to great relationships and high-quality teaching.
• Want to work in a school where hard work is supported and valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding
• Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, high ability, and EAL
• Use assessment and feedback to help students reflect on their progress and close any gaps
• Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
• Work with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create the best outcomes for every student
