Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is helping a mainstream Secondary School in Trafford to recruit an English Teacher for a long-term, full-time role starting in October. The post requires planning and delivering engaging English lessons, and monitoring student progress while upholding high teaching standards.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS with an English specialism (ECTs welcomed) and have demonstrable experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4, with excellent classroom management and communication

North West/ temporary / £160 - 240 per day

Do you have strong classroom management and a passion for developing students’ confidence in English?

Are you a qualified English Teacher with experience teaching across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Outstanding OFSTED-rated mainstream Secondary School in Trafford. The school provides a positive and ambitious learning environment, with high expectations for both staff and students.

The school is looking to take on an English Teacher from October on a long-term, full-time basis. The successful English Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging English lessons, monitor student progress and maintain high standards of teaching and classroom management.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school
• Sound knowledge of the English curriculum across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
