Qualifications

• QTS and strong English teaching experience.
• Experience teaching English to secondary-aged pupils.
• Psychology knowledge or SEMH experience.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.

• Confidence supporting pupils with low prior attainment.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Resilience and adaptability to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach English and Psychology-related content to pupils aged 11-16
• Small teaching groups of 2-8 students
• Support pupils working below age-related expectations
• Deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs
• Help rebuild confidence, motivation and engagement with education
• Teach areas including GCSE English, reading, writing, comprehension and communication
• Build positive relationships and provide consistent support
• Manage behaviour calmly and confidently
