Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking an experienced English Lecturer to join London FE colleges on a temporary, ongoing basis. You will deliver high-quality lessons, support learners and contribute to curriculum development within supportive FE environments.

The role offers flexible full-time or part-time hours, with immediate or notice-period start and a focus on achieving positive learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching English within Further Education or a similar setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate learners.
• Experience assessing learner work and providing effective feedback.
• A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons to Further Education students.
• Teach English across relevant levels, including GCSE and Functional Skills.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
• Support learners with different abilities and learning needs.
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Support learners with their academic and personal development.
• Ensure safeguarding, equality and college policies are followed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support positive learner outcomes.
