Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking an experienced lecturer to join our English teaching team at Alnwick Campus. The role covers Functional Skills and GCSEs, with a permanent contract for 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days, currently Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

You will participate in planning and development of programmes, deliver engaging teaching using innovative methods including e-learning, and assess learner progress to support achievement.

• Implement assessment procedures that review and assess formative and summative progress of the learner Conduct regular progress reviews with the learner and where appropriate with employers.
• Prepare learners for examination or assessment and participate in internal and external quality assurance meetings.

The Role
