Aspire People in Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic English graduate to support pupils with their learning across English. The role offers 1:1 and small group support, plus in-class assistance to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

This long-term opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to gain school-based experience before further study, with DBS check provided and school-hours working Monday to Friday during term time.

Qualifications

• Degree 2:1 or higher in an English-related subject is essential.
• Experience tutoring or working with young people is welcome but not required.
• Be confident and enthusiastic with a love of learning.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1, in small groups, and in-class settings.
• Cover lessons as needed.
• Receive strong support from Aspire People and the school.
• Work Monday to Friday during term time.

Graduate English Learning Mentor - The Role:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis and in class support


• Cover lessons as and when required


• Receive excellent support from the school and Aspire People


• Long term position - Paid 120- 140 per day


• Work Monday - Friday school hours, term time only


• DBS check required, safeguarding training provided


• Based in Leeds (other schools in other local boroughs available)

Graduate English Learning Mentor - Requirements:

• Degree 2:1 or above in an English related degree is essential


• Experience of tutoring or working with young people is ideal but not a requirement


• Confident and enthusiastic, with a love of learning!
