Job summary

Boston Rose Limited is working with an education provider in the Greater Manchester area to recruit two Engineering Vocational Assessors for a full-time, permanent role. The position involves travelling to engineering workplaces across Greater Manchester to mentor and vocationally assess apprentices studying for level 2/3 qualifications.

Engineering Vocational Assessor

Greater Manchester

Up to £40,000 p/a

Full-time, permanent

We are working with an education provider in the Greater Manchester area who are looking for two Engineering Vocational Assessors to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The job role would consist of travelling to engineering workplaces in the Greater Manchester area in order to mentor and vocationally assess engineering apprentices who are studying for their level 2/3 qualification.

The starting salary for this position is up to £40,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), which would also include a contributory pension (5% employee/4% employer), business mileage of 45p per mile, and 33 days holiday per year (inclusive of statutory holidays such as Bank Holidays). Unqualified assessors would start at £35,000 p/a, and then move up once completing their assessor award and completing their probation.

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:

• A level 3 Engineering qualification (or higher)
• Industrial experience of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• A desire to pass on your engineering knowledge

Please note that the education provider would be able to put you through (and pay for) your assessor qualification if you do not already have one.
