Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a well-established training provider to recruit an Engineering Tutor / Assessor.

You will support learners through theory and practical teaching and conduct level 2 learner assessments, managing a group and guiding individuals to qualification milestones. The ideal candidate holds an A1 Assessor Award and a teaching qualification, with at least five years in Building Engineering Services or Engineering, plus excellent communication and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• A1 Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33).
• Teaching qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years' occupational experience in Building Engineering Services or Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills essential.
• Role requires a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Train, assess, motivate and support learners toward Level 2 qualifications.
• Develop, implement and evaluate training materials to standardise delivery.
• Monitor learner progress and conduct progression/review meetings.

OVERVIEW: Engineering Tutor / Assessor

Are you an experienced Tutor / Assessor looking for the next step in your career? We are Recruiting on behalf of a well-established training provider that is looking to extend their team.

You will be required to provide tutoring support and complete level 2 learner assessments. You will be in charge of a group of learners, supporting each individual via theory and practical based teaching.

We are looking for qualified and experienced Tutors in Engineering or the Building Engineering Services sectors.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Engineering Tutor / Assessor

• Train, assess, motivate and support learners on programmes towards achieving level 2 qualifications.
• Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
• Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews/additional support reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: Engineering Tutor / Assessor

• A minimum 5 years' occupational experience within either the Building Engineering Services or Engineering industry.
