Job summary

Mars invites applications for a 4-year Apprenticeship, leading to a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician qualification. You’ll work with Engineers to improve production systems, use diagnostic tools, and gain leadership skills through hands-on projects and Mars University courses.

You’ll learn to manage projects, document processes, and support data-driven decisions while traveling to Melton Mowbray and Loughborough College. Salary starts at £21,000 with annual increases and a bonus.

Qualifications

• Interest in engineering and advanced manufacturing.
• Problem-solving mindset and curiosity about how things work.
• Proactive attitude with strong communication and collaboration.
• Willing to travel to Melton Mowbray site and Loughborough College.
• Must be 16+ by 6th September 2027.
• Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English, Maths, Science.
• 3 A Levels including Maths or Physics (C or above) or equivalent Level 3 Engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Engineers and Technical Leads to maintain, improve, and innovate production systems.
• Using root cause analysis and diagnostic tools to solve complex issues and improve equipment performance.
• Working across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure reliability and efficiency of manufacturing assets.
• Learning how to manage projects, document technical processes, and support decision-making with data.
• Developing technical leadership skills.
