Engineering Surveyor

Type: Permanent

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join a well-established company based in the West Midlands. The company is a market leader in mobile mapping and geomatic surveying within the infrastructure and civil engineering industries, focusing on large-scale projects using the latest digital technology. Their mission is to deliver professional and personal services, regulated by RICS standards and upheld by strong ethical principles. Projects include highways, bridges, rail, roads, construction, buildings, and more.

Due to an increase in workload, they are seeking an Engineering Surveyor to work in the Gloucestershire area. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting high-precision engineering and land surveys across various projects, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. The role is site-based, with work scheduled Monday to Friday during the day, with occasional weekends as required.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform topographical, engineering, and monitoring surveys on construction and infrastructure projects.
• Utilize advanced survey equipment such as Total Stations, GPS/GNSS systems, and 3D laser scanners to capture precise data.
• Process and analyze survey data using industry-standard software to generate plans, models, and reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure survey data meets project requirements.
• Travel to various project sites as needed.

Experience & Qualifications

• PTS and CSCS accreditations are required.
• Background in Land Surveying, Civils, Setting Out, or as a Site Engineer is preferred.
• Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor.
• Proficiency in using survey equipment such as Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Trimble Business Centre.
• Excellent understanding of survey principles and data analysis.
