Advance your engineering career in a key role within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. Our Engineer Surveyors are at the forefront of our business, visiting client sites to carry out inspections and assess various plant, equipment, and installations.

As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor at Allianz Engineering Inspection Services, you will be automatically enrolled onto our comprehensive induction training programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.

• You will anticipate our clients' needs and assist them in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• You will work closely with your Engineer Surveyor team, managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
• You will prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting for fast and efficient delivery to clients.
• You will carry out hands-on inspections of plant and equipment such as lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
• The role can be physically demanding, requiring working at heights, in confined spaces, lifting, and climbing in various conditions. It involves exposure to noise and dust, so comfort in a hands-on environment is essential.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £44,213 per year.

Salary is part of our total reward package.

About You

As an Engineer Surveyor, you will assess a wide range of installations, anticipate clients' needs, and ensure compliance with legislation.

• Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules related to Lift and Crane disciplines.
• Ability to make informed decisions and take responsibility.
• Effective planning skills for short, medium, and long-term tasks.
• Ability to travel within your local work area.
• Timely processing of documentation and general administration.
• Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors.
• Passion for engineering, self-driven, with strong client interaction skills.
• Experience working with lifts, cranes, or materials handling equipment, in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in a mechanical-related subject.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Strong time management skills for self-organised work schedules.
• Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of daily work.
