Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to maintain hotel mechanical systems and lead a high-performing team in delivering a world-class guest experience.

You will perform daily checks, manage safety programs, keep precise records, and ensure Hyatt Brand Standards are upheld across the property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or certification in engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2-4+ years of progressive hotel operations experience.
• Proven track record in improving operational performance.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Previous experience with international hospitality brands preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel
• Perform daily checks around the hotel
• Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
• Responsible for the health and safety of the hotel
• Ensure monthly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly
• Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plants and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.
• Ensure that stores have adequate stocks of materials, equipment and tools and are kept in a clean and safe environment.
• Supports the implementation of Hyatt Brand Standards, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
• Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
• Always exercises responsible behaviour and positively represents the hotel team and Hyatt International.
• Maintains strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations.
• Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and understand and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
