The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of engineering technicians to ensure that all planned and corrective maintenance is completed in the most efficient and safest manner possible. Having direct oversight of day-to-day planned and unplanned maintenance activities, you will provide feedback to stakeholders in both Engineering and Operations departments on the status and progress of all engineering work.

You will work closely with other engineering functions to drive efficiency in the execution of all maintenance work, including planned and unplanned maintenance, capital projects, and continuous improvement activities. You are expected to use root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to eliminate repeat issues, thereby increasing manufacturing equipment uptime. You will report to our Engineering Team Leader.

Responsibilities
  1. Under general direction, plan and schedule work performed in assigned areas to ensure maximum uptime of equipment.
  2. Oversee activities of technicians assigned to work areas to ensure compliance with company policies, GMP standards, and legal requirements.
  3. Maintain planned work schedules and handle emergency work resulting from unforeseen circumstances.
  4. Manage the work order system within your area of responsibility.
  5. Ensure necessary inventories of equipment and supplies are available.
  6. Act as contractor controller, reviewing and ensuring all contract work is completed safely and according to standards.
Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or HNC in a related field.
  • Substantial experience in the engineering field, preferably in the pharmaceutical, food, or chemical processing industry.
  • Functional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA-regulated facilities.
  • Qualifications or responsibilities may vary based on local legal and educational requirements; refer to local job documentation where applicable.
