Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead our engineering team. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance, and supporting strategic projects with a focus on operational excellence and team development.

Key Responsibilities for the Engineering Supervisor:

1. Supervise daily engineering and maintenance operations.
2. Manage a team of 4 engineers and 2 apprentices.
3. Ensure all tasks align with business and project goals.
4. Oversee adherence to safety, environmental regulations, and company policies.
5. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance audits.
6. Contribute to manpower planning for capital projects, ensuring alignment with ongoing PMs.
7. Handle recruitment, performance appraisals, KPI setting, and minor disciplinaries.
8. Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives across the site.
9. Collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering and Project Supervisor.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Apprentice trained or strong engineering qualifications.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in engineering.
3. Strong knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and engineering best practices.
4. Ability to manage both people and technical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
5. Experience in industrial, chemical, food, or distribution sectors is preferred.
6. Electrical bias is highly desirable, especially for future automation strategies.
7. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Backgrounds:

• Candidates from armed forces with relevant experience.
• Exposure to automated environments is a strong plus.
