Job summary

Escape Recruitment is seeking an organised, hands-on Engineering Storesperson to join an established engineering business in Nottingham. You will manage stock, support day-to-day workshop activities, and prepare customer orders while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires experience in engineering stores or workshop/warehouse environments, strong stock control knowledge, and proficiency with IT systems including ERP/stock management software. A UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering stores, workshop operations, warehousing, or similar.
• Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge.
• Proficient in IT systems, ERP or stock software.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support daily workshop and stores operations.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Manage stock levels, consumables and inventory records.
• Use ERP/stock systems to maintain records.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment and facilities.
• Ensure safe and correct storage of materials.
• Uphold housekeeping and health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and supply chain.
• Identify process improvements for stores.
• Support general workshop and yard activities.
