Job summary

Hartland Recruitment & Advertising Limited is seeking an Engineering Stores Person to join a busy engineering operation in Nottingham. You will receive engineering components, check against purchase orders, book them into the stock system, and place items in the correct location.

Responsibilities include issuing parts to engineers, picking against work orders, carrying out stock counts, maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring minimum stock levels, and flagging shortages or discrepancies

Qualifications

• Experience in stores or stock control in engineering/manufacturing sectors.
• Ability to maintain stock records and monitor reorder levels.
• Familiarity with goods-in/goods-out and stock takes.
• Basic Excel and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive engineering components, check them against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Book items into the stock system and place them in the correct location.
• Issue parts to engineers and production; picking against works orders.
• Carry out stock counts and support regular stock takes.
• Maintain accurate stock records and flag shortages or discrepancies.
• Relate returns, obsolete stock and supplier discrepancies as needed.
