Job summary

Rubix UK is seeking a reliable Insite Stores Operative to support the day-to-day running of an engineering stores operation at one of our customer sites. You will ensure engineers receive the correct parts and materials, handle deliveries, issue stock and keep accurate records to support uptime.

This hands-on role emphasizes accuracy, safety and customer service. You will own your work, identify issues early and suggest improvements to stock control, processes and layout, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, engineering, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical stock processing.
• Proficient with computers, email, and MS Office; willing to learn Rubix systems.
• Safe, responsible manual handling and site procedures.
• Clear communication and ability to work independently.
• Good organisation and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Commitment to stock protection and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and report damaged or missing items.
• Store materials safely in correct locations with proper labelling and controls.
• Pick and issue materials to authorised users and record transactions.
• Perform cycle counts and stock-location reviews to maintain accuracy.
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide updates on availability and orders.
• Support purchasing, order follow-ups, collections and returns per approved processes.
• Maintain audit-ready records for stock movements and receipts.
• Keep stores clean, safe and compliant with HSEQ requirements.
• Suggest improvements to safety, stock control and customer service.
