Job summary

Rising Talent Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Stores & Maintenance Planning Manager for a manufacturing business in the UK. The role combines responsibility for engineering stores, spare parts and inventory control with planning and coordinating preventative maintenance activities.

You will take ownership of daily stores operations, manage stock levels, build supplier relationships and drive cost improvements while ensuring maintenance works are planned and executed efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control / stores / inventory management in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ERP, CMMS or stock management systems.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance and maintenance planning.
• Experience working with suppliers and purchasing parts/materials.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day engineering stores operation.
• Manage stock levels across spare parts, consumables and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/stock systems.
• Raise purchase orders and source parts from suppliers.
• Build supplier relationships and obtain competitive quotations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise stock holdings.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and conduct regular stock counts.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and plans.
• Plan maintenance activities to minimise disruption and downtime.
• Ensure parts, materials and contractors are ready before planned maintenance.
• Create and manage work orders through the CMMS.
