Job summary

Orion Group is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for our Inverness client. You will combine technical engineering with commercial awareness to design solutions, cost projects, and manage interfaces from enquiry to handover.

You will work with Sales, Technical and Operations teams to ensure technically sound, commercially viable projects while developing design documentation and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering qualification or equivalent (HNC/HND/degree).
• Ability to understand technical drawings and P&IDs.
• Good budgeting and cost estimation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to sales on equipment selection and solutions.
• Design technical solutions using standard installation methods.
• Prepare project budgets and costings.
• Produce technical drawings and calculations.
• Define project scopes and interfaces between customer and company.
• Prepare handover documentation for project delivery.
• Coordinate handover from Sales to Operations.
• Support discussions with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
