As a Critical Services Shift Leader at Integral UK, you will be working across a prominent client site in Canary Wharf.
Overview:
The Engineering Team Lead is part of the technical team service provided under the contract, falling within the Operations team - static based.
This role involves providing technical support to the UK Portfolio and overseeing the control of works process.
The role includes coordination, planning, and monitoring of subcontractor works, including auditing and enforcement of the Control of Work requirements. It is responsible for the safe execution, quality, and timely completion of subcontracted work, while ensuring adherence to client and JLL requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all PPMs are scheduled and completed, and all reactive Helpdesk Requests are closed in line with SLAs.
- Carry out maintenance in accordance with client and H&S procedures, using permit to work systems where applicable, and implement improvements from inspections and reviews.
- Monitor environmental conditions and analyze the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
- Understand operational protocols related to alarm conditions and backup systems.
- Communicate building issues to end users, clients, and management as per COW and BP MPS protocols.
- Oversee and collaborate with visiting contractors and support operational team activities.
- Manage work delivery on client premises, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Ensure safe execution of work following safety systems of work.
- Meet SLAs and PPMs as set by the contract.
- Innovate and improve practices, supporting JLL growth through skill development and learning.
- Share knowledge and ideas with the team.
- Provide health & safety information to contractors, including protocols and local procedures.
- Inspect work equipment within competency and monitor contractors' adherence to method statements and risk assessments.
- Ensure safety-critical training is regularly refreshed.
- Support technical training and development, including competency and scenario exercises.
- Proactively seek service improvements and innovations.
- Report critical incidents or problems to TSM and Compliance Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned and escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager.
- Apply risk-focused maintenance approaches in labs/critical environments.
- Manage costs related to maintenance activities.
- Ensure all client services meet requirements and SLAs for compliance and performance.
- Lead and develop a service team for efficient and safe operations, fostering a ONE TEAM approach with staff and partners.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with mechanical/electrical systems.
- Understanding of complex systems and drawings.
- Experience with Lotto and tag-out isolation processes.
- Knowledge of UPS and ELV systems.
- Experience with commercial and pressure systems LV switching.
- Exposure to HvAP or LvAP systems.
- Facility experience in commercial buildings and R&D environments.
- Experience working with MCCP panels and fire systems, including panels and sprinklers.
- Ability to complete log books for audits.
- HSE knowledge.
