Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a well-established food manufacturer in East Kilbride to recruit an Engineering Shift Lead. You will lead the engineering team on Panama shift, ensure planned and reactive maintenance, and drive equipment reliability to minimise downtime.

You will bring strong electrical and mechanical engineering experience, proven leadership, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the Engineering team on shift.
• Managing reactive and planned maintenance activities.
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
• Providing technical support across electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ensuring engineering standards, procedures and safe working practices are maintained.
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Working closely with Production to resolve technical issues.
