Deeside Cereals is seeking an Engineering Shift Supervisor to lead a multiskilled engineering team on a fast‑paced FMCG site. You will drive maintenance across process and packaging lines, coordinate real‑time workload, and provide hands‑on guidance to Shift Engineers while modelling safe, compliant engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer to HNC and/or NVQ Level 3 (electrical, mechanical or multiskilled).
• Strong multiskilled engineering experience in automated, continuous manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated capability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
• Experience supervising or directing engineering work is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of integrated systems, packaging automation and drive systems.
• Minimum qualification of IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely.

Responsabilités

• Lead shift Engineers and coordinate day‑to‑day tasks and performance.
• Oversee maintenance workload in real‑time to minimise downtime.
• Provide hands‑on coaching and guidance to engineers on shift.
• Lead shift handovers with clear communication of ongoing issues and priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement to equipment performance and reliability.
• Ensure safety, food safety and legal compliance across tasks.
• Lead installation, commissioning and contractor coordination as needed.
• Support upskilling of team through training and mentoring.
