Job summary

Deeside Cereals is seeking an Engineering Shift Supervisor to lead a multiskilled engineering team on a fast-paced FMCG site. You will oversee safe maintenance across plant and packaging machinery, prioritise workloads, and act as the first escalation point for technical issues during your shift.

The role focuses on driving reliability, reducing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety, food safety and legal requirements while modelling engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Five key skills: leadership on shift, multiskilled engineering, problem solving, safety discipline, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift engineers, allocate tasks and monitor performance during the shift.
• Coordinate maintenance workload in real time based on breakdowns and plan tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and hands‑on support to engineers on shift.
• Lead shift handovers and communicate priorities, risks and ongoing issues.
• Support Engineering Manager with training needs and ensure adherence to standards.
