Gap Technical is seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our engineering recruitment team in Huntingdon, hybrid role. You will build relationships with candidates and clients, source and interview candidates, and manage the recruitment process through placement.

No prior recruitment experience needed; we value attitude, ambition and willingness to learn. You’ll work toward sales targets while enjoying training funding and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and build a career in recruitment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort speaking with candidates on the phone and in person.
• Ability to build rapport and develop client relationships.
• Resilience and persistence to achieve targets.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• Fresh graduates welcome; prior sales or customer service experience is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with candidates.
• Source and engage candidates through multiple channels.
• Interview candidates and understand their career goals.
• Manage the recruitment process from initial contact to placement.
• Advertise vacancies and proactively search for suitable candidates.
• Negotiate salaries, fees and offers.
• Maintain accurate candidate and client records.
• Develop knowledge of recruitment markets.
• Work toward individual and team sales targets.
