Gap Technical is seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our engineering recruitment team in Huntingdon, hybrid role. You will build relationships with candidates and clients, source and interview candidates, and manage the recruitment process through placement.

No prior recruitment experience needed; we value attitude, ambition and willingness to learn. You’ll work toward sales targets while enjoying training funding and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Comfort speaking with candidates on the phone and in person.

Salary: £28,000- £35,000 + excellent commission

We're looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing engineering recruitment business. Whether you have previous recruitment experience or are looking to take your first step into the industry, we're more interested in your attitude, ambition and willingness to learn. You'll be working within the engineering recruitment sector, helping businesses find highly skilled engineering professionals while developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building strong relationships with candidates
• Sourcing and engaging with candidates through various channels
• Conducting candidate interviews and understanding their career goals
• Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement
• Advertising vacancies and proactively searching for suitable candidates
• Negotiating salaries, fees and offers
• Maintaining accurate candidate and client records
• Developing your knowledge of different recruitment market
• Working towards individual and team sales targets
