Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Components Engineering projects in Ulverston, Cumbria. The role covers inception to handover, driving performance across commercial, technical, and operational aspects while ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

You will coordinate a network of technical specialists, manage scope, schedule, costs, risks, and quality, and build strong stakeholder relationships across engineering and business functions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing projects within an engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies, processes, tools, and procedures.
• Extensive experience of risk management across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Excellent leadership, delegation, planning, and organisational skills.
• Ability to influence and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of Components Engineering projects.
• Manage projects from initial concept through to completion and handover to the business.
• Maintain control of project scope, schedule, costs, risks, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with the Principal Engineer to provide project direction, coordination, and risk management.
• Lead and coordinate a network of technical specialists to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across engineering and business functions.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive risk management practices are implemented.
• Deliver clear and effective presentations to individuals and stakeholder groups.
• Provide occasional supervision and mentoring to apprentice personnel where required.
• Ensure project governance, reporting, and controls are maintained throughout delivery.
