Job summary

Rullion Engineering Cumbria is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a major engineering project based at Dungeness. The role involves delivering projects from concept through to commissioning and handover, collaborating with engineers, contractors and stakeholders to meet safety and quality standards.

This contract role is for 18 months with a 4-day working week and on-site duties. Start date ASAP with no remote work.

Qualifications

• HNC, degree or NQF Level 5/6 qualification or equivalent levels.
• Experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering role within an industrial plant environment.
• Understanding of relevant engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify project requirements and stakeholder needs.
• Contribute to Project Execution Plans, design and commissioning strategies.
• Support project optioneering and develop fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
• Produce and approve technical specifications.
• Manage detailed design activities.
• Prepare modification proposals and act as a Nominated Responsible Engineer where required.
• Review contractor work instructions, method statements and risk assessments.
• Provide technical supervision of construction, commissioning and decommissioning activities.
• Approve as-built drawings and manage project handover.
• Maintain site configuration control.

The Role
