Tandem Personnel is recruiting an Engineering Operations Manager for an established engineering and manufacturing business near Ipswich. You will oversee day-to-day operations across production, assembly, fabrication, testing, stores, logistics and facilities to ensure targets and quality are met.

The role requires strong background in production planning, team leadership and budget management; knowledge of ISO standards or Lean practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Operations/Production management in engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing budgets and teams; knowledge of ISO Lean NEBOSH or IOSH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Oversee production planning, capacity and resource allocation.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and customer delivery requirements are achieved.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the operation.
• Manage operational costs, budgets and workforce utilisation.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Work closely with QHSE to maintain high standards of quality, health and safety.
• Lead, motivate and develop operational teams.
• Resolve production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
