Job summary

Team Jobs - Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its engineering function and drive improvements across manufacturing operations in Poole. This hands-on leadership role focuses on productivity, labour efficiency, capacity, and manufacturing flow while developing the engineering team.

You will work with Operations, Production, NPI, Supply Chain and Quality to deliver Lean initiatives, line balancing, and new equipment capital projects, with a track record in

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Leadership experience in low-to-medium volume, high-mix manufacturing.
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement expertise.
• Knowledge of work measurement, labour standards and capacity planning.
• Experience improving production lines and manufacturing efficiency.
• CAD/CAM能力, ideally SolidWorks.
• Experience leading engineering teams and capital investments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team.
• Drive Lean and CI initiatives across production.
• Improve productivity, labour utilisation, OEE, throughput and efficiency.
• Establish labour standards, time studies and work measurement.
• Develop capacity models and support production planning.
• Optimise layouts, material flow and assembly processes.
• Lead line balancing, takt time, value stream mapping and standard work.
• Support NPI and implement new products into manufacture.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Identify automation and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Develop business cases and manage capital investment
