Job summary

Stirling Warrington Limited is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead an established engineering function within a large-scale operation. You will develop strategies for maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement, aiming to improve asset performance and safety.

You will lead a team, manage budgets and collaborate with site leadership to align engineering activities with business goals. The role demands a strong technical background, hands-on leadership, and data-driven decision making

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, asset management and reliability improvement.
• Track record delivering engineering improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Experience managing budgets and investment planning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Analytical, data-driven problem solving.
• Experience managing contractors and suppliers.
• Proactive, resilient and adaptable leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the engineering team.
• Contribute to site strategy as a member of the site leadership team.
• Develop and implement an engineering strategy aligned with targets and priorities.
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture and scheduled programmes.
• Improve equipment reliability, asset availability and performance.
• Manage engineering budgets, maintenance expenditure and investment plans.
• Develop CMMS to improve compliance, reliability and performance.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.
• Oversee contractor activities, ensuring safety and standards.
• Support succession planning and capability development.
• Promote accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
