Stirling Warrington Limited in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to keep presses, furnaces and hydraulics running in a heavy manufacturing setting.

You'll own safety, uptime and reliability across your area of plant, drive preventive maintenance and root-cause recurring breakdowns, and lead CI on availability, energy and cost while controlling spares and contractors. A hands-on leader who can mentor the maintenance team will thrive.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 NVQ or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years in a plant or maintenance engineering role in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong hydraulics knowledge.
• Experience leading change in a unionised environment.
• A can-do attitude and a real sense of urgency.

Responsabilités

• Own safety, uptime and reliability across your area of plant.
• Drive PPM and root-cause recurring breakdowns.
• Lead CI on availability, energy and cost (FMEA, 5S, Lean Six Sigma).
• Control engineering spend, spares and contractors.
• Write RAMS, lead investigations and coach the maintenance team.
