Job summary

Hunter Selection is partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Bristol to recruit an Engineering Team Leader. You will lead a shift team of engineers, ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement to meet production targets.

The role suits an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a senior Maintenance Engineer stepping into management, working with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to enhance site performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
Experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers
Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities
Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained
Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance
