Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a leading manufacturing site in Bristol. You will lead a shift team of up to five engineers, ensuring equipment reliability and delivering on-time maintenance performance.

The role requires at least five years in manufacturing, an engineering qualification, and proven leadership. You will drive improvements, investigate faults and uphold safety standards, reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained.
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.
