Babcock, based at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee planning and delivery, and ensure regulatory compliance on a major defuel programme.

You will work 35 hours per week with hybrid arrangements (minimum 2 days in the office) and develop leadership capability while delivering projects critical to national defence and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Applying systems engineering principles throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Delivering facility design projects and infrastructure upgrade programmes.
• Experience in a nuclear licensed site or similarly regulated environment.
• Leading the delivery of complex engineering, infrastructure or major project activities.
• Managing engineering governance, technical assurance and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and suppliers to deliver multiple projects safely and on schedule.
• Oversee engineering planning, prioritisation and delivery.
• Provide technical oversight, governance and assurance across lifecycles.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration and delivery.
• Identify and mitigate engineering risks while maintaining regulatory and safety requirements.
