Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Manager – Core Components to lead an integrated solution across the Core Components portfolio. You will head a team of engineers and specialists, ensuring design maturity while driving programme delivery, governance, quality and strategic planning within a highly regulated nuclear environment.

You will shape future product strategies, develop organisational capability, and integrate Core Components into the wider reactor design, partnering with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Chartered Engineer status or progress towards registration.
• Experience leading design and delivery of complex engineered products in highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of reactor core components (Fuel Assemblies, Control Rod Assemblies, Neutron Source Assemblies, Core Monitoring Equipment).
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and developing talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of integrated Core Component solutions and ensure technical maturity.
• Provide leadership and direction to a growing team; foster inclusive, high-performing environment.
• Define and implement delivery strategies, governance, and operating models for programme execution.
• Manage complex product development programmes balancing technical, schedule, cost, and resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers, customers and regulators.
• Ensure high-quality outputs through governance and compliance with processes.
• Contribute to strategic direction and long-term Core Components capability.
