Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer - Fuel Assembly & Control Rod to lead development of core component solutions across the product lifecycle. You will drive design maturity, engage with suppliers and stakeholders globally, and ensure governance and regulatory standards are met.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, experience in nuclear core components, and ability to operate in highly regulated, multidisciplinary programme teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with design, analysis, manufacture or support of nuclear core components.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
• Experience in highly regulated, integrated programme environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of Fuel Assembly and Control Rod technical solutions.
• Drive design maturity throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Manage technical risks and dependencies with mitigation plans.
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance are applied.
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge sharing to the team.
