Job summary

Janspeed is recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead and develop its engineering function. This hands-on technical leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive exhaust systems, powertrain or vehicle development who wants to advance without leaving engineering.

You'll lead a small team, work directly with prestige OEM customers, support RFQs and technical reviews, and take ownership of engineering delivery from concept through to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive engineering background, ideal exhaust/powertrain.
• Senior engineering background with leadership readiness.
• Hands-on APQP, PPAP, FMEA and DFM experience.
• Strong understanding of product development, validation and manufacturing.
• Confident interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Pragmatic, commercially aware mindset.
• Hands-on leader who leads by example.

This is a genuinely hands-on technical leadership role - ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive exhaust systems, powertrain or vehicle development who wants to take the next step without moving away from the engineering.

You'll lead a small team, work directly with prestige OEM customers, support RFQs and technical reviews, and take ownership of engineering delivery from concept through to manufacturing.

What we're looking for:

• Strong automotive engineering background, ideally exhaust / powertrain
• Principal, Lead or Senior Engineer ready to step into management - or an experienced Engineering Manager
• Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and DFM
• Strong understanding of product development, validation and manufacturing
• Confident working with customers and cross-functional teams
• A pragmatic, commercially aware approach
• Someone who leads from the front and isn't afraid to muck in
