Job summary

Perk is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead and develop a software team. You will be a servant leader, accountable for delivery and career growth, and collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align on strategy.

You’ll coach, foster a high-performance culture, scale teams, and drive AI-enabled development while balancing speed and quality across platforms. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience managing software engineers
• Managed around 8-10 software engineers
• Hands-on engineering background (IC)
• Leads with a people-centric culture and strong work atmosphere
• Experience scaling larger teams with delegation
• Acts as a technical and organizational problem solver
• Delivers effective performance reviews aligned to growth
• Demonstrates pragmatism, simplicity, efficiency and performance
• Experience with AI-augmented workflows and agentic development

Responsibilities

• Accountable for delivery and personal development of your team(s)
• Act as servant leader and adapt leadership style as needed
• Coach individuals and support their career journeys
• Be a technical champion ensuring time and context to build compliant systems
• Enable fluent collaboration within the team and support design/architecture challenges
• Develop and evolve a long-term strategy and roadmap with the Product Manager
• Strategic team building and planning for scalable features
• Key driver in recruitment and growth of the engineering team
• Work with business metrics to deliver a 7-star customer experience
• Understand how engineering impacts product and business needs
• Provide feedback to stakeholders within Builders (Product & Eng) and wider business
