Prolific is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams and drive technical excellence across platforms powering AI data infrastructure. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and deliver scalable, secure cloud-based applications that impact customers and research partners.

You'll foster ownership, advance engineering practices, manage technical debt, and hire top talent while aligning with Prolific's mission to improve AI through human data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in engineering management or coaching.
• Proven track record building products and leading complex initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and deep understanding of software engineering.
• Clear and structured communication across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach engineering teams to deliver outstanding customer value.
• Nurture the professional growth of engineers, including hiring and onboarding.
• Plan work, remove blockers, orchestrate dependencies, and ensure clear communication.
• Collaborate with product managers to define what and how to build.
• Drive technical solution design and manage technical debt.
• Contribute to evolving Prolific's engineering practices and cross-team initiatives.
