Job summary

Perk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own features end‑to‑end, from understanding customer pains with product and design docs to coding, testing and deployment. You will influence the architectural direction and measurable impact on our global platform.

You’ll work in small cross‑functional squads with ownership, mentor others, raise the bar for engineering, and embrace AI‑enabled workflows across the stack. Being onsite three days a week near our London hubs is expected.

Qualifications

• Translates complex business goals into technical roadmaps and de-risks ambiguous projects.
• Architects scalable, evolvable systems and data models with performance and maintainability in mind.
• Defines and upholds engineering excellence, including CI/CD, testing strategies, and coding standards.
• Establishes frontend architecture patterns, including state management and testing.
• Delivers sophisticated backend solutions with API versioning and complex data migrations.
• Leads observability, SRE practices, SLOs, incident responses, and blameless post-mortems.
• Oversees secrets hygiene and dependency risk management for production security.
• Levels up the engineering organization through mentorship, reviews, and driving the roadmap.
• Coordinates multi-team deliverables and aligns stakeholders to unblock technical work.
• Experience with AI-augmented workflows and agentic development.
