A growing engineering design consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for the regulated water sector in Manchester. The role involves leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring the delivery of safe and compliant design solutions. 💧 Engineering Manager – Water Industry (Permanent or Outside IR35 Contract)

My client is a growing engineering design consultancy delivering projects across the UK regulated water sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop multi-disciplinary design teams and deliver high-quality, compliant design solutions.

This role is open to both permanent candidates and Outside IR35 contractors.

The Role
  • Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary engineers, CAD technicians, and graduates
  • Lead the delivery of civil, MEICA, and process design packages
  • Ensure designs are safe, compliant, and value-engineered
  • Manage integrated design deliverables to programme and budget
  • Approve design outputs and manage design change control
  • Drive BIM, digital engineering, and design efficiency
About You
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
  • 10+ years’ experience in the regulated water industry
  • Strong understanding of civils, MEICA, and process design
  • Proven experience managing engineering design teams
  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Full UK driving licence
