• Ability to align team output with business goals while maintaining solid technical foundations.
• Experience with backend technologies (Python, C#, Go) and frontend frameworks (React/Angular).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor software engineers across experience levels.
• Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews and career development planning.
• Drive hiring, onboarding and retention.
• Oversee architecture decisions aligned with long-term tech strategy.
• Contribute hands-on through code reviews and design input.
• Partner with product to define roadmaps and prioritise work.
• Run sprint planning, track velocity and remove blockers.
• Champion testing, CI/CD, monitoring and observability.
• Guide incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Translate technical concepts into business impact; translate business needs into technical direction.
• Contribute to budgeting, resource planning and technology strategy.
