A leading NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to ensure effective maintenance of their buildings and technical infrastructure. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all building structures, fabric, and finishes within the Community sites and associated buildings related to this role.
The post holder will support the Community Engineering Department and other directorates within Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) by providing a multiskilled service. They will ensure the effective maintenance of the Trust’s building and technical infrastructure, adhering to the highest professional standards in building and engineering. The post involves working closely with engineering teams, Capital Development, and Environment teams.
The Essential department manages all non-clinical support services at GSTT, ensuring effective, efficient, and safe hospital functions. The Building Maintenance and Improvement Department handles reactive and planned maintenance, minor improvements, refurbishment, replacement programs, delegated capital projects, and services to third-party organizations via SLAs. It collaborates with Capital Projects, Engineering, Operations Teams, and end-users to deliver these services.
