Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Assistant

Location: Leyton, Edmonton and Charlton

Salary: £11.12 per hour = £23,129.60 per annum

Benefits: Van, Tools & Uniform Provided; 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Hours: 40 hours a week – Monday to Friday – Some 6.30am start times

Temporary for 6 months with potential to become permanent

Coverage: Stores in Leyton, Edmonton and Charlton

We are committed to working in partnership with ASDA to provide safe, compliant, and well-maintained stores by exceeding expectations. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistants (Single Store Responsibility) & Multi-Site Maintenance Assistants (up to 4 stores) to join our Facilities Management Team.

What you’ll be doing

Our Maintenance Assistants are responsible for minor general/fabric maintenance, business support tasks, PPMs, and reactive tasks across stores. Reporting to the Multi-Site Technician, training will be provided to achieve competency in tasks such as:

• Weekly & monthly planned maintenance (fire alarm tests, water checks, shower cleaning, chlorination)
• Weekly store defrost program
• Minor building fabric repairs
• Minor plumbing, joinery, and general ad-hoc tasks

All tasks are to be completed in accordance with our Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Ideal candidate qualities

• Practical skills and experience in a trade, doing the job right first time within set timescales
• Positive, proactive attitude with good customer service skills, able to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team; good organization and prioritization skills
• IT skills (using tablets, Word, Excel, emails)
• Full UK driver's license for roles covering multiple stores
• Physically fit to move and lift heavy items and use ladders
