Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Engineering Lecturer to join a further education provider in the West Midlands. You will deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom theory across engineering programmes, drawing on your industry experience to prepare learners for careers in the sector.

You will plan and prepare sessions, assess learners' work and support their studies, helping them build knowledge, skills and confidence to progress. A real person will respond to applicants.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
• Practical industry experience in engineering.
• The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities.
• Desirable: teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Desirable: experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Delivering practical workshop and classroom-based teaching across engineering programmes.
• Planning and developing lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources.
• Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback.
• Monitoring learner progress and supporting achievement.

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Lecturer to join a further education provider in the West Midlands. You'll deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom theory across engineering programmes, drawing on your own industry experience to prepare learners for careers in the sector.
